Andrew has degrees in law and in philosophy from Melbourne University. Before returning to Melbourne Law School, he was associate to Justice K M Hayne AC of the High Court of Australia and a commercial solicitor.
His research interests lie in philosophy of law, constitutional theory, and property law theory. Andrew is undertaking a doctorate in philosophy of law at Oxford University as a Menzies Scholar; his thesis focuses on the relation between the semantics and metaphysics of deontic modality and law.
At Melbourne, he has taught Trusts and Legal Method and Reasoning, and has been a research associate at the Centre for Comparative Constitutional Studies.
