Overview

Liran Haim has broad academic and practical experience in banking regulation and payment devices. He served as a visiting lecturer and researcher on Advanced Payment Devices and Banking Law in leading universities worldwide, including Columbia Law School (NYC) and Melbourne Law School. He is also a lecturer for Payment Devices, Banking Law, and White Collar Crime in several Israeli Universities. He has published extensively on the issues of payment devices and banking liability. His current research topics include electronic payment devices, virtual currency, banking liability, money laundering and bank fraud. He has rich practical and regulatory experience acquired by his work (since 2005) at the Israeli Ministry of Justice. He is also a member of several national committees headed by the Israeli central bank. He is a frequent speaker of professional conferences and academic symposia. He is a member of the Asset Recovery Experts Network (AREN) of the Basel Institute on Governance. He holds a PhD in Law and BA in Economics.
