Overview

Rick Rawlings is Professor of Public Law at University College London and an Honorary Distinguished Professor at Cardiff University. He is a Leverhulme Major Research Fellow, an Honorary Bencher of Middle Temple and former Legal Adviser to the UK House of Lords Constitution Committee.

His areas of expertise range across constitutional law, administrative law and European Union (EU) law. They particularly include administrative procedure and administrative justice, judicial review, devolution and the UK territorial constitution, and EU administrative law. Rick’s many works include leading monographs and edited collections such as Law and Administration (with Carol Harlow; 1st ed. 1984); Pressure through Law (with Carol Harlow; 1991); Law, Society and Economy (1997); Delineating Wales (2003); The Regulatory State: Constitutional Implications (2010); Sovereignty and the Law (2013); and Process and Procedure in EU Administration (with Carol Harlow; 2014).
