We believe that a diverse student body enriches both the learning and practice of law. JD students are intellectually mature, motivated and engaged with the study of law.

Discussion-based classes

The Melbourne JD offers a stimulating learning environment of exciting seminars and challenging discussions. Interactive classes with other postgraduate students are an important part of the learning process in the Melbourne JD. The seminar-style teaching encourages participation and students are expected to engage with their lecturers and with each other. The student body's diversity means that discussions in class are dynamic and encompass a range of perspectives on legal issues.

A graduate cohort

Be a part of a tightly knit cohort of graduates and learn alongside your fellow students. One of the benefits of the Melbourne JD is that you are studying with a mature group of students who are committed to learning. From the very first day, you will share the JD experience with other motivated students, enriching each other's education as you make your way through the course together. The connections you make with your fellow students will take you beyond graduation and build a network for life.
