Student Orientation
Melbourne Law School is committed to ensuring our new students make a smooth transition to the study of law at graduate level.
New Melbourne JD students will take part in an exciting program of activities on 7 and 8 February 2013 to give them a taste of what studying with us will be like and to ensure they are well prepared to commence their degree.
The two-day orientation program includes a welcome by the Dean, Professor Carolyn Evans, an introduction to the expectations of graduate law students, an introduction to their cohort and an outline of Melbourne Law School's co-curricular activities. Current JD students will run an open 'Question and Answer Panel'. Students will also hear from staff and students about our support services including careers advice and academic skills.
There will be an oration lecture given at the end of the first day which will be followed by a social event organised by the Law Students Society.
