Historical Note: Lewis, Orr and Gibson' lineage goes back to the earliest days of the Port Phillip settlement when R.E. Lewis joined K.E. Brodribb and Thomas Crisp's legal partnership in 1860. Subsequent partners included Henry Hedderwick, W.J. Fookes and Lewis' son, R.R. Lewis. Their clients included many early Melbourne notables and businesses and many large landowners throughout Victoria and New South Wales.
