Associate Professor Treasa Dunworth
Associate Professor The University of Auckland Associate Professor Treasa Dunworth is visiting the APCML to undertake research in to her project entitled "The resurrection of human security in disarmanement". This project forms the basis her PhD. During her stay in Melbourne Associate Professor Dunworth will specifically be undertaking research into tracing early disarmament efforts and analysing that work through a "human security lens" as well as developing an analysis of the rise of "human security" in contemporary literature in the context of recennt disarmament developments (or setbacks). Mr Giuseppe Matteo Vaccaro Incisa
Marie-Curie Research Fellow, DISSETTLE Bocconi University School of Law During his visit to the Law School Mr Vaccaro Incisa will be working on his doctoral research investigating trade and investiment arrangements already in force or under negotiation, with particular attention to FTAs, in light of the understanding provided by the relevant dispute settlement mechanisms. Mr Ralph Zacklin CMG
Former Assistant Secretary General for Legal Affairs of the United Nations The 2013 Sir Ninian Stephen Visiting Scholar to the Asia Pacific Centre for Military Law at Melbourne Law School. 17 June to 1 July 2013 in Melbourne, 1 July to 7 July 2013 in Canberra. During his visit to Australia Mr Zacklin will deliver a public lecture in Sydney on 26 June entitled Law and Politics in the United Nations: is the international community in retreat from the ResponsibilIty to Protect?, and a keynote address at the Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZSIL) to be held in Canberra 4-6 July, as well as seminars in Melbourne and Canberra. His visit to Australia is supported by the Asia Pacific Centre for Military Law (APCML) and the Australian Civil-Military Centre (ACMC).
