Professor Anne Orford (IILAH Director Emeritus) to be awarded honorary doctorate.

The Faculty of Law at Lund University in Sweden has voted to award Professor Anne Orford the Michael D. Kirby Professor of International Law, an honorary doctorate in law. Two honorary doctorates are awarded by the Faculty each year, with President of the Supreme Court of Sweden, Marianne Lundius receiving the second award for 2012. The degrees will be awarded at a ceremony in Lund Cathedral on 25 May. Professor Orford will be awarded the honorary doctorate 'for her research that releases international law into its full intellectual, political and emancipatory complexity'. |
