The Future of Human Rights: Rising to the Populist Challenge lecture was presented by Professor Cesar Rodríguez-Garavito on Tuesday 28 May 2019.

Event synopsis

This lecture discusses the key challenges and transformations of the human rights field in the next decade. It highlights lessons and insights from other fields of research and practice – from journalism to systems thinking to ecology to neuroscience – that could prove useful for human rights actors to tackle the authoritarian populist challenge to human rights, as well as other systemic threats such as climate change and technological disruption.
