The second of our 'Judges in Conversation' series for 2019 will see Justice David O'Callaghan of the Federal Court of Australia in conversation with Judge Alison Nathan of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on the subject of federal judicial appointments and federal jurisdiction.

The two judges will discuss processes adopted in the United States for confirmation of Federal Judges, including Judge Nathan’s own experience of those processes when appointed by then President Obama, alongside other issues relevant to federal jurisdiction in the United States and Australia.
