Overview

Andrew’s main research interests are in philosophy of law and philosophical logic. He is also interested in constitutional law and the structure of private law.

Andrew is completing a DPhil at the University of Oxford as a Menzies Scholar. His research, supervised by Timothy Endicott and Timothy Williamson, is on the logic and metaphysics of obligation. He is currently a visiting researcher at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

Andrew was previously associate to Justice Hayne of the High Court of Australia. He also practised commercial law. He took degrees in law and in philosophy at the University of Melbourne, where he was a National Scholar.

At Melbourne Law School he teaches Trusts and Legal Method and Reasoning. He has also been a research associate at the Centre for Comparative Constitutional Studies.
