Cara has recently returned from New York where she completed her LL.M at New York University, specialising in public law. She was admitted to practice in 2012.
Prior to undertaking her LL.M, Cara was an administrative law litigation lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor, where she advised, and conducted litigation on behalf of, government departments on cases in the Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court, and Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Cara began her career as an Associate at Minter Ellison Lawyers in the Dispute Resolution team, where she assisted clients in a range of large commercial litigation and insurance matters. Following that, Cara was Senior Associate to the Honourable Justices Judd and Forrest of the Supreme Court of Victoria, who were Deputy Head of the Commercial Court and Principal Judge of the Common Law division, respectively.
Cara holds a Masters of Law from NYU and a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Arts double degree from the University of Melbourne.
