Overview

David Kreltszheim is a Partner practising in Banking and Finance and Fintech, Privacy & Emerging Technologies at Cornwalls. He holds a Master of Laws Degree from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.

David has worked for leading national and international firms for over 20 years. David’s clients have included the four major Australian banks, several international banks, Australian and international fintech companies as well as the Commonwealth and State Governments. His practice has evolved over the years in lockstep with the emergence of new technologies. His clients include invoice financiers, “buy now pay later” businesses and other “fintechs”, both in Australian and overseas.

Amongst other things, he advises on electronic distribution platforms, AML/CTF regulation, payment system contracts and regulation and data privacy. He has published several articles on these topics. He is a recipient of several awards, including the Banking and Financial Services Law Association Research Prize and the University of Melbourne Postgraduate Law Student Published Research Prize.
