Dr Jill Murray holds a doctorate in law from Oxford University, and Masters degrees in industrial relations from Melbourne and Oxford Universities. She researches Australian, European and international employment law, and has published widely in these fields. Her particular interests include the legal regulation of working time, and the challenges of combining work and family life. Most recently, Dr Murray has written on the fiduciary obligations of trade union officials during collective bargaining. Prior to her appointment as an academic, Dr Murray spent nine years as an industrial advocate.
