Lawrence Gostin is University Professor (the highest academic rank conferred by the University) and the Founding Linda and Timothy O’Neill Chair of Global Health Law at Georgetown University Law Center, Washington. There, he directs the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on Public Health Law and Human Rights. He co-chairs the Lancet/Georgetown University Commission on Global Health and the Law.

He is Fellow and Visiting Professor of Public Health and Law at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Public Health. His latest book is Global Health Law (Harvard University Press, 2014).
