Stepan Wood is the Canada Research Chair in Law, Society and Sustainability and Director of the Centre for Law and the Environment at the Allard School of Law. He has published widely on social responsibility, sustainability, globalisation, transnational governance, voluntary standards, climate change and environmental law. He leads the Transnational Governance Interactions research network. His co-authored books include Transnational Business Governance Interactions: Empowering Marginalized Actors and Enhancing Regulatory Quality (Edward Elgar, forthcoming 2019); A Perilous Imbalance: The Globalization of Canadian Law and Governance (UBC Press, 2010) and Environmental Law for Sustainability (Hart, 2006). He is a lead Canadian negotiator of ISO 14001.
