This research stream investigates the growing use of Edtech, especially during the COVID19 pandemic. This includes the use of surveillance and monitoring in exams and schools.


Simon Coghlan, Tim Miller, Henrietta Lyons and Jeannie Paterson wrote a short paper on virtue ethics in the use of digital technologies in education for the Birmingham Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtue. Simon Coghlan (CIS Digital Ethics Post Doc)) and Jeannie presented the paper at a panel seminar organised by the Jubilee Centre. A recording is here and the papers are here.
