Zanirah Mustafa @ Busu is a Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan Branch, Machang Campus. The author has more than 10 years of teaching experience and is an expertise in the field of Muamalat and Islamic Law. Currently, pursuing a doctorate in philosophy at the Faculty of Law and International Relations, Sultan Zainal Abidin University. She is actively engaged in writing, academic research and consultation.

The Concept of Humans as Khalifa (Vicegerent): A Religious Requirement in Complying and Realising the Responsibilities for Preserving Faith in Allah

In Islam, the position of human as the caliph of Allah on earth is a great trust to protect the ummah and maintain the sustainability of the universe in accordance with Islamic law by managing and preserving the earth. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research study approach to interpret the meaning of  this notion and detail the importance of religion in our lives, as well as identify factors that deviate from religion.
