Podcast: Climate Talks

Climate Talks

Join hosts Professor Jackie Peel and Dr. Cathy Oke as they bring you the information you need to know in the lead up to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference – or ‘COP26’ – taking place in Glasgow in November.

In each episode, they interview experts to discuss different climate-related topics, including adaptation, climate finance and carbon markets, how global biodiversity and climate frameworks fit together, the involvement of  non-state actors in climate discussions, and the relationship between COVID-19 and climate.

COP26 will not only be important – it will be decisive. As put by U.S. climate envoy John Kerry, “[COP26] is the last best chance the world has to come together in order to do the things we need to do to avoid the worst consequences of the climate crisis.”

Climate Talks is produced by Melbourne Climate Futures and Melbourne Centre for Cities at the University of Melbourne.
