Book Chapter: "Breaking Down the Meaning of Constitutional Breakdown"

By Tom Gerald Daly

In September, "Constitutionalism under Stress: Essays in Honour of Wojciech Sadurski" was published. The book brings together scholars in the field of constitutional theory, to examine issues related to the current decline of liberal democracies and populist challenges to the rule of law throughout Europe. It was released in September 2020 and reflects on comparative constitutionalism in Central and Eastern Europe through the lens of Wojciech Sadurski, whose himself has dedicated many years of his working life to examining the current decline of liberal democracies and populist challenges to the rule of law in the region.

Tom Daly, CTN Convenor, has written a chapter as part of the section on "Liberal Constitutionalism and Militant Democracy: Constitutional Review and Public Reason". Tom's chapter focuses on "Breaking Down the Meaning of Constitutional Breakdown".
