Presentation: "Constitutional Architecture for Divided Societies"
27 March 2017
In March 2017, Professor Cheryl Saunders presented on the topic “Constitutional Architecture for Divided Societies” at McGill University, Montreal.
Professor Saunders considered the processes for constitutional design in divided societies by drawing on a range of cases in which constitutional transition is presently ongoing, many of which have been affected by conflict. She compared these with other states in which change is proposed in relatively peaceful circumstances (eg Canada and Australia).
