Faiza Rahman is a PhD candidate at Melbourne Law School. Her doctoral research focuses on the national security exception in the Indian Constitution, and seeks to explore the manner in which this exception has engaged with other constitutional values, fundamental rights and federal systems. Her research interests include comparative constitutional law, administrative law, regulatory governance and digital constitutionalism.

Prior to commencing her PhD, Faiza was a research fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi where she advised government agencies and regulatory authorities in areas of law and technology, and regulatory governance. She also worked as a research fellow with the public law and judicial reforms teams at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, New Delhi. She has read for the BCL at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford and holds a BA LLB (Hons) from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, India.
