    Research Fellow - National Bench Book

Teina Te Hemara (Ngarluma, Yindjibarndi, Te Āti Awa and Ngāti Raukawa) is working on as part of the Indigenous Law and Justice Hub in the development of a national Indigenous Bench Book in consultation with Indigenous Peak representative bodies and members of the legal profession. The bench book aims to better inform and promote best practice for judicial officers and legal professionals about the cultural and legal issues faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Teina is a graduate from Melbourne Law School and joins the ILJH after recently working on Cultural Heritage reform at the National Native Title Council.
