Associate Professor Stacey Steele is an Associate Director (Japan) at the Asian Law Centre, Melbourne Law School. Stacey also works in-house as a financial services lawyer and was previously a senior associate at a leading Australian commercial law firm. Stacey’s research includes work on banking and insolvency law, the Japanese system of lay judges, and on professional legal education in Japan; her publications include Legal Education in Asia: Globalization, Change and Contexts (Routledge), co-edited with Kathryn Taylor.
