Overview

Andrew Higgins is an Associate Professor in Civil Procedure at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, and a Fellow in Law of Mansfield College. Educated at Melbourne Law School, he was formerly an associate at Slater & Gordon, and is a practising Victorian barrister, specialising in mass tort litigation. He is currently General Editor of Civil Justice Quarterly, the leading specialist journal on civil procedure in the Commonwealth, and has published widely on procedural issues including legal professional privilege, apprehended bias, costs and funding, disclosure, case management, and collective redress. In 2014 he published a book titled Legal Professional Privilege for Corporations: A Guide to Four Major Common Law Jurisdictions, with Oxford University Press.
