Overview

Emily is an expert on superannuation law, regulation and policy, with over ten years’ experience in the field. She is the Lead, Economic Security and Governance at Impact Economics and Policy.

Emily was previously Manager of Government Relations and Strategy at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, where she led ASIC's contribution to the Morrison Government's Your Future, Your Super reforms.

She has worked in a range of roles in law, public policy and strategy consulting, including as a Senior Associate at Grattan Institute and as Research Fellow at the ANU's Tax and Transfer Policy Institute. She commenced her career at Maddocks lawyers, working in tax and commercial law.

Emily holds a PhD from the Australian National University and degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Melbourne. She is currently writing a book on the politics of Australian superannuation.
