Overview

Lin Lin is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She teaches Company Law, Alternative Investments, Chinese Commercial Law, Private Equity and Venture Capital, and Legal Systems of Asia at NUS Law. Her articles have been published or accepted in leading law journals in her field, such as Journal of Corporate Law Studies, European Business Organization Law Review, Journal of Business Law, Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance, Berkeley Business Law Journal and Columbia Journal of Asian Law. Her monograph titled “Venture Capital in China: Changing Laws in an Evolving Market” will be published by the Cambridge University Press. Lin has delivered public lectures at numerous law schools including Stanford and Tsinghua. She has been a visiting scholar at several universities including Stanford and Oxford. She has taught as Visiting Professor at law schools in mainland China and Taiwan. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Lin was a Legal Policy Officer at the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA) and has worked in the Corporate Finance Department of a leading law firm in Singapore. She has served as Consultant to the Steering Committee of the Taiwanese Company Law Reform and Assistant Counsel at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
