Overview

Michael Rush is a King’s Counsel at the Victorian Bar. He practises primarily in commercial law, and also advises in appears in common law proceedings involving public authorities. Michael’s research and academic interests are in the field of private law, including equity, trusts, restitution, contracts and torts. He completed his BCL and DPhil in law at Oxford University, and his dissertation (“The Defence of Passing On”) was subsequently published as a book.  Michael has taught in the Melbourne Law School in the LLB, JD and LLM programs, in Trusts, Restitution, and Remedies. Prior to joining the Bar, Michael was an associate to the Hon K M Hayne AC KC.
