Overview

Dr Nathan Van Wees is a Lecturer at Melbourne Law School. His research area is legal theory, focusing on the relationship between the state, legal systems, and our moral reasons. Nathan has also published on Australian public law, and teaches Evidence and Legal Theory at MLS.

Nathan holds a DPhil and BCL from the University of Oxford. He also holds LLB and BA degrees from Monash University, where he graduated with the University Medal. Prior to joining MLS, Nathan worked as a Lecturer at Deakin University and as Associate to Justice Gordon in the High Court of Australia.
