Judge Suzanne Kirton

Overview

Suzanne Kirton has recently been appointed as a Senior Member at VCAT, sitting in the Building & Property, Civil Claims and Owners Corporation Lists. Prior to her appointment she was a barrister and nationally accredited mediator, and before that, was company solicitor of the Housing Guarantee Fund (the precursor to the present system of private building insurance). She has more than 20 years’ experience practising and advising in the areas of domestic building disputes, building regulation, warranty insurance, dealing with expert witnesses, and the obligations of builders and building professionals.
