Overview

Timothy Kuhner is an associate professor at the University of Auckland School of Law. His teaching and research focus on corruption, money in politics, and comparative constitutional law. Tim is the author of Tyranny of Greed (Stanford University Press, 2020) and Capitalism v. Democracy (Stanford University Press, 2014), and the co-editor of Democracy by the People (Cambridge University Press, 2018). He previously taught at law schools in Europe and the United States, serving most recently as Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Barcelona. Tim has also served as a political finance reporter for International IDEA, a drafter of anti-corruption modules for the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, and a member of the UN’s Group of Experts on Ethics and Integrity under the Education for Justice Initiative. He received his law degrees from Duke University and his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College.
