Dr Tina Yao

Overview

Tina Yao is a Lecturer at Melbourne Law School. She teaches various Criminal Law subjects in the Juris Doctor and in the Breadth program.

Tina holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne. She also holds a Juris Doctor as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Politics) from the University of Melbourne.

Tina’s primary research interest lies in the legal governance of public administration in Australia and China. Her thesis examined the jurisprudence of anti-corruption laws and commissions in Australia and China, and explored how anti-corruption laws regulate, interact with and shape public administration and official conduct. Her secondary research interest is law and the humanities in and of China. She has published in Law & Literature.

Tina is affiliated with the Asian Law Centre.
