Senior Fellow (Melbourne Law Masters)
Trevor Thomas is a Senior Fellow at Melbourne Law School, specialising in construction law. He holds the following degrees: Bachelor of Engineering; Master of Engineering; Bachelor of Laws; Master of Laws (by coursework); and Master of Laws (by thesis).
Trevor is Special Counsel in the Construction and Major Projects group at Clayton Utz. He acts for a range of principals, contractors and consultants in the infrastructure, building and engineering, energy and resources and technology industries. Trevor has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from mining, power generation, renewable energy, off shore oil and gas, civil works, processing plants, building projects, defence projects and general procurement. Trevor acts primarily in non-contentious transactions but also has experience in contractual claims and dispute resolution.
Trevor is a director of T W Thomas Consulting Pty Ltd where he provides contract administration services to the building and construction industry. Currently, his primary focus is as the contract administrator for the Musselroe Wind Farm - which is being constructed by Hydro Tasmania in the north east of Tasmania, Australia. The project consists of the erection of 56 Vestas V90 wind turbines, the construction of the associated electrical and civil works and the erection of approximately 50kms of transmission line. The project is due for completion in the middle of 2013.
