Competition Law and COVID-19 in Asia

In this video, Dr Wendy Ng speaks with Dr Wan Khatina Nawawi about the Malaysian Government’s actions to address excessive pricing and price gouging during the COVID-19 crisis. They also talk about the impact of COVID-19 on Malaysia’s aviation sector and whether competition law might have any role to play.

About the speaker

Wan Khatina Nawawi has extensive experience working across government agencies as well as the private sector in Malaysia. She is currently the Director of Economics at the Malaysian Aviation Commission. Previously, Khatina worked in senior positions at the Malaysia Competition Commission, Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund), the Khazanah Research Institute, and the National Economic Action Council of the Prime Minister’s Department.
