We invite applications from interested PhD candidates and Early Career Researchers from any faculty to apply (early career researchers are those who have been awarded a PhD in the last 5 years).

Melbourne JD students in Washington DC for Global Lawyer

25 Melbourne JD students have finished their first week in the United States undertaking the elective Global Lawyer, which Melbourne Law School Professors Andrew D Mitchell, Bruce Oswald CSC and Tania Voon have been running each year together since 2011. The class has been engaging closely with a wide range of current transnational legal issues, including in discussions with experts on international humanitarian law and international economic law.

New podcast helps lawyers to be sound of mind

MLS alumnae Jennifer Lim (BA(Media&Comm) 2011, LLB 2011) and Natalie Campbell (BA 2009, LLB 2009) met while working as Associates at the Federal Court of Australia. While chatting over their lunch breaks they discovered many shared interests, having gone to the same law school and worked at the same firm; but it was their shared passion for addressing the mental health risks facing lawyers that led them to create a new podcast, ‘Compos Mentis.’
