Keynote speakers at the 2024 Wellness for Law Forum will include:
- The Honourable Chief Justice Anne Ferguson (Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia)
- Professor Nathalie Cadieux (University of Sherbrooke, Canada) on Strong Foundations to Pave the Way Towards a Sustainable Practice of Law: the Role of Training, Mentorship, and Working Conditions Among Articling Students and Young Practitioners
- Diya Dey (Organisational Psychologist, Australia) on Demystifying Workload – Practical Work Design Strategies
- Professor Nick James (Bond University, Australia) on Wellness and the Future of Legal Education in Australia
- Dr Emma J. Jones (University of Sheffield, United Kingdom) on Navigating the Landscape of Wellness in Legal Education: Obstacles and Opportunities on the Path Ahead
- Professor Caroline Strevens (University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom) on Response to Error and the Law curriculum

The 2024 Wellness for Law Forum will also feature two keynote panels, respectively led by:
- The Honourable Justice Peter Gray (Supreme Court of Victoria), and including panellists from Vic Bar, LIV Young Lawyers, the community legal sector on the structural issues impacting on wellness in legal workplaces
- Sally Ryan, and including panellists His Honour Judge Frank Gucciardo (County Court of Victoria, Australia), The Hon. Andrea Coote (Former Member of Victorian Parliament, Australia), Associate Professor Carly Schrever (University of Western Australia, Australia) Dr Zim Nwokora (Deakin University, Australia) on Wellness at the top: The occupational wellbeing of judges and MPs
There will also be three streams of concurrent papers spread across the two days of the Forum, with speakers from the legal academy and the profession.
Finally, our dinner speaker on the evening of Thursday 15 February at the State Library of Victoria is Fiona McLeay, Victorian Legal Services Board CEO and Commissioner
Attendees may be eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units where sessions are relevant to their practice needs or professional development.
