Overview

Dr Elizabeth Boros is a Professor of Commercial Law at the Melbourne Law School, specialising in corporations law and trusts.  She is also Joint Associate Director of the Corporate Law and Financial Regulation Research Program at the Melbourne Centre for Commercial Law.  Elizabeth teaches Corporate Governance and Directors’ Duties and Shareholders’ Rights and Remedies in the Melbourne Law Masters.  She is the author of Minority Shareholders’ Remedies (Clarendon Press, 1995) and the co-author of Corporate Law, (4th edition, Oxford University Press, 2022).  She is the editor of the shareholders’ remedies section of the Company & Securities Law Journal.   Elizabeth formerly practised as a commercial barrister, and was appointed as senior counsel in 2022.  Before going to the bar, she held the Sir Keith Aickin Chair of Company Law at Monash University.  She is a member of the corporations committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
