Hrishika Jain is currently Yale University’s Fox International Fellow at the Melbourne Law School. She has completed her Master’s from Yale Law School and her first law degree from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Her current research focuses on the social lives of constitutions, and the politics and limits of legalism and the legal form particularly in understanding constitutional life and claims-making. Previously, she has also practised at the Supreme Court of India, primarily in civil liberties and constitutional litigation, and led a study of trial court capital sentencing practices in India as part of Project 39A’s research wing.
