David K. Linnan is Associate Professor of Law at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, a standing lecturer at the International Undergraduate Program of the Fakultas Hukum, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, and Program Director of the Law & Finance Institutional Partnership, Jakarta.  LFIP is a videoconferencing and distance education arrangement of Indonesian and other universities for economic law.  Trained in civil (German) and common law, in Southeast Asia, he works on Indonesian law and society, and more generally on the development side and the financial sector and cross-services liberalization in ASEAN. Recent works include Waleed El-Ansary, David K. Linnan, Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin, Paripurna Sugarda and Harkristuti Harkrisnowo, eds, Kata Bersama Antara Muslim dan Kristen:  Teori dan Aplikasi (Yogyakarta:  UGM Press, 2018) and David K. Linnan, ed, Legitimacy, Legal Development and Change:  Law and Modernization Reconsidered (Farnham:  Ashgate, 2012).  He is an ALC Associate and a CILIS Senior Associate.
