IPRIA was established in March 2002 as an initiative of IP Australia. The Institute is a collaborative research centre located at the University of Melbourne. The core faculties are the Melbourne Law School and the Melbourne Business School.

Rebecca is an expert on copyright, creators’ rights, technology regulation, the regulation of culture. She works collaboratively with data scientists, cultural economists and legal and social scholars to tackle complex problems that no single researcher or field could address alone.

He is particularly interested in the competition law and intellectual property interface and has written on competition law analysis of music markets, parallel import restrictions, and anti-competitive conduct designed to “extend” patent protection.
