Obligations Workshop 2026

On 1 March 2026, the Obligations Group hosted the annual MLS Obligations Workshop, this year focusing on 'Private Law Works-in-Progress'.  

The annual MLS Obligations Workshop is a forum for invited private law colleagues to present and discuss works-in-progress in an intimate and collegiate setting. Each workshop coincides with the visit of an international private law scholar who also gives the annual Allen Hope Southey Lecture. The 2026 Allen Hope Southey Lecture was delivered by Professor Birke Häcker (University of Bonn), on the topic 'Legal Education for the Twenty-First Century'.
