Disability Services
This guide is a brief introduction to some of the disability services provided at the Law Library.
Location
The Law Library is located within the Law School building at 185 Pelham Street, Carlton (Melways map 2B 9C). The nearest tram stop is the Lincoln Square stop (stop number 3) on Swanston Street.
Metered two and four hour car parking is available in the surrounding streets. A large underground car park is located adjacent to the Law School building beneath University Square. Entry is from Berkeley Street and lifts operate to all levels.
Access to the Law Library
The building has two entrances that open onto Pelham Street. Both entrances are wheelchair accessible. Lifts are located in the centre of the building. The Law Library has an internal lift located on the western side of the building that provides access to Levels 3, 4 and 5.
Assistance retrieving books
Law Library staff will retrieve books on request. If you have difficulty accessing any part of the collection please ask at the Information Desk for assistance.
Sensory Supportive Study Room
A sensory supportive study room, located on level 4 of the Law Library (room 437), is available for use by University of Melbourne students. The room is equipped with adjustable lighting, two adjustable desks, a PC, and a large, high-backed chair.
