Marking the 60th anniversary of Amnesty International Australia and National Reconciliation Week, Amnesty Redfern Action Group organized a forum to hear speakers respond to the NT parliament’s passing of draconian bail laws (https://www.amnesty.org.au/new-youth-...) on 12 May 21 which fly in the face of the Don Dale Royal Commission recommendations. There has been fierce opposition to these controversial new laws from many sectors of the Australian community.
