Environmental Justice Australia - First Nations positions
There are currently two positions being advertised at the Environmental Justice Australia - First Nationals Lawyer and First Nations Community Engagement Officer.
Environmental Justice Australia are starting a new program that builds on EJA’s work with First Nations peoples, using environmental law to protect Aboriginal interests.
You will work closely with First Nations individuals, organisations and communities to understand their legal needs and work with them to overcome the legal barriers that stop First Nations peoples from exercising their caring for Country rights and obligations.
EJA are looking for a Community Engagement Officer and a Lawyer, both Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander designated positions. EJA will be looking for a balance of seniority and skills across the two roles, with one of the roles taking on the project leadership. Details are in the position descriptions below.
