Book Launch: Legal Education Through an Indigenous Lens
ILJH is pleased to note Hub member Heather Douglas AM’s joint-authoring of “Legal Education Through an Indigenous Lens: Decolonising the Law School” with Associate Professor Nicole Watson of the University of Technology Sydney in the Faculty of Law.
Legal Education Through an Indigenous Lens: Decolonising the Law School is intended as a comprehensive resource for accommodating and pursuing Indigenous perspectives in legal education. Content is arranged to highlight continuing issues that Indigenous people face in law schools and universities, how Indigenous ways of reading and thinking about settler law make a difference to how settler law is understood and interpreted, and how traditional law school subjects can be taught through an Indigenous lens.
