Study Options
Members of the Obligations Groups teach in the private law specialisation in the Melbourne Law Masters, Juris Doctor and provide high quality supervision to graduate researchers.
About
The Electoral Regulation Research Network (ERRN) fosters exchange and discussion amongst academics, electoral commissions and other interested groups on research relating to electoral regulation. The ERRN is jointly funded by the New South Wales Electoral Commission, the Victoria Electoral Commission, and Melbourne Law School.

Implications of Changes to Voting in Australia Project
This research project report was prompted by the increasing numbers of voters in Australia who are ‘convenience voting’ in one way or another.
The Harold Ford Memorial Lecture
The Harold Ford Memorial Lecture celebrates the many contributions of Professor Ford to Melbourne Law School, the legal profession, and to the development of corporate law and trusts law. The inaugural lecture was held in 2013 and hosted by the Centre for Corporate Law. Details of upcoming lectures, and recordings of past lectures, can be found here.

Enhancing Local Government Democracy: City of Melbourne Project
The Electoral Regulation Research Network project focused on the nature of local government democracy in the City of Melbourne. It aims to investigate the relationships that operate between the City of Melbourne and the wide range of people and organisations that use its facilities and services – residents, businesses, workers, commuters, shoppers ad others.

The Desirability and Feasibility of Convenience Voting in Australia Project
This Electoral Regulation Research Network research project used a mixed method research design to explore how voters, legislators and electoral commissions perceive the challenges presented by the extension of convenience voting – both in terms of its growing use among electors and the liberalisation of its forms.
Obligations Group
The Obligations Group support research and scholarly discussion on the law of obligations, such as law of contract, tort, remedies and private law theory.

The Challenge of Informed Voting Project
Electoral practitioners and observers routinely say that informed voting is important for democracy. They often lament the low levels of informed voting in Australia and elsewhere. What counts as informed voting and how it should be promoted are, however, questions that are difficult to answer.
