Research Support Funds
Funding support for a range of research-related expenses.
Research Support Funds are open to graduate researchers for a range of research-related purposes including costs associated with attendance at conferences, travel in support of research projects, and other expenses directly related to the costs of undertaking research work.

Application form
Complete the Application for students and ensure you indicate the scheme/s for which you are applying.
Applications for retrospective funding will only be approved in exceptional circumstances and an accompanying explanation must be provided.
Applications may be made at any time but should be submitted at least four weeks before the funding is required.
Research Support Funds – MPhil and PhD candidates
Eligible Graduate Research students may apply for up to $6,500 in Research Support Funds over the lifetime of their candidature.
Thesis Editing Funds - International PhD Students only
International PhD students, for whom English is not their first language, may apply for up to $1,000 in Thesis Editing Funds over the lifetime of their candidature. These funds may be utilised for copyediting and proofreading costs.
Fieldwork Support Funds - PhD Students Only
PhD students who travel to undertake field research during their candidature may apply for Fieldwork Support Funds. Students can apply for up to $2,000 over the lifetime of their candidature.
