What is the Law and the Environment Lab?
The Law and the Environment Lab is a JD elective that applies a practice-focused lens on how different areas of law impact the environmental outcomes of infrastructure projects. Law students analyse real-life projects and hear from a diverse range of stakeholders involved in infrastructure projects, which can include communities, regulators, local government, and project proponents. Students report their findings to stakeholders who work with the infrastructure projects to inform future law-related action.
This subject is delivered as an extended intensive, with contact hours spread over 2-3 days per week for three weeks.
