Dr Andrea Immanuel

Overview

Andrea Immanuel is a Lecturer at La Trobe Law School. Her research focuses on nationality and statelessness, refugee law, international human rights law and international humanitarian law. She completed her PhD at Melbourne Law School, examining the nationality of individuals in armed conflict and the ways international law regulates its grant and deprivation. Andrea is an affiliated researcher with the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness at the University of Melbourne and the Centre for Law as Protection at Deakin University. Before entering academia, she worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in India.
