We are making a difference, but we are not doing it alone.
From its first year of operation, we have built a reputation as an international centre of expertise and leader in the field of statelessness studies, by:
- Conducting original research and training the next generation of scholars in statelessness studies
- Enabling and supporting research and research collaboration globally through our publications, media, collaborative networks, and visiting fellowships
- Providing training to the international community of professionals working on statelessness through the annual Statelessness Intensive Course
- Combining supporting the delivery of legal aid to stateless families in Australia with student clinical training in the JD program through the Stateless Legal Clinic, working closely with our community legal partners
- Engaging with government, international governmental bodies, non-government organisations and the public to raise awareness and provide evidence-based policy advice on statelessness.
To make these activities possible, we are very grateful for the generous philanthropic and project support from our donors and partners.
If you would like to contribute to our work, consider making a donation. Your gift will help us to support stateless children, families and students and enable us to keep raising awareness of statelessness as an important human rights issue.

Partners and Supporters
The Centre was established thanks to the generous philanthropic support from Peter and Ruth McMullin. We are extremely grateful for their vision and commitment to leadership in the area of statelessness and their significant contribution to elevating it as an issue worthy of in-depth study and legal and policy change in Australia, the Asia-Pacific Region and globally.
Our heartfelt thanks also go out to other partners and supporters for having made the valuable work to date of the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness and the Stateless Legal Clinic possible:
